Message Chivas was here, and wrenching on, and driving a TT, long before you. The fact that he no-longer owns a TT doesn't mean he has not made friends here. The whole AIM, e-mail, Phone, argument made by others above is a bit weak. The great thing about a web forum is that you can reach many people at once with out specifically targeting any one individual. Unless you are real good about keeping distribution lists in Outlook, keeping in touch with a group of friends at once is not easy. You are also keeping your group from growing, because it is a list of specific individuals, so unless some one adds a new individual to the list it is static. If people do forward the message on to others, and they want to be included in the list the maintenance of said distribution list is very cumbersome.

I like most of the people on TT.net that I've come to know. I find a lot of the "technical" stuff I read at 3zc to be very juvenile, and I equate a lot of that to the demographic that hangs there regularly, so I'm not interested in the lounge section there, though I have met a few cool people and discovered some cool events by visiting the regional forums at 3zc. With that said, I'd enjoy amore granular brake down of the forums here. Maybe if there were regions in the event section, Tech broken down to Suspension, TT Motor, and N/A Motor, General for ... well .... General Z Car discussion, and an OT type area, so that people who have met here over the years, can continue to communicate here, about things other than their Z, in a broad social arena with many of those they have bonded with.

I'm truly grateful for the knowledge shared here, and I truly enjoy the banter I read, much of it quite entertaining. I greatly prefer the threaded format of this forum to the BB style as I can easily tell who is responding to who/what (If the responder knows how to respond), but as said above, I would appreciate a more granular break-down of the forum.

Peace
